Rahul Chawla

Rahul is ABN Australia’s Head of Tax and Associate Director, leading the firm’s technical tax capability and supporting clients with complex Australian and cross-border tax matters.

With more than 15 years of experience across Australia, Malaysia and India, Rahul has held senior roles with leading professional services firms including EY, KPMG and PwC. He has advised multinational groups on international tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, business structuring and tax compliance, helping organisations manage the practical and commercial implications of operating across multiple jurisdictions.

At ABN Australia, Rahul works closely with clients to translate complex tax requirements into clear, commercially focused advice. He also leads the technical development of the firm’s tax services and supports its onshore and offshore teams, strengthening the quality, consistency and depth of advice provided to international businesses operating in Australia.

Rahul is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, Associate Chartered Management Accountant and Certified Practising Accountant. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws and has delivered technical training for CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and CIMA.
