Kate Armstrong

Kate is a Client Manager at ABN Australia, based in Sydney. She is the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of international businesses operating in Australia, keeping their tax, accounting and compliance on track and making sure questions get a straight answer quickly.

Before joining ABN Australia she spent eight years at a Sydney accounting practice, working her way up from graduate to Practice Manager. Along the way she reviewed the work of the whole team, ran new client onboarding, and looked after companies, trusts, partnerships and family groups across tax, FBT and activity statements. A Chartered Accountant, Kate completed the CA program with a Merit in Taxation and finished first in New South Wales in the Capstone module. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Macquarie University.

The psychology degree gets more use than you'd think. Kate has a knack for turning a complicated tax position into something a busy founder can act on, and a soft spot for clients in the pet, travel and sport industries.
